REJECTING CHRIST'S WARNINGS
-- A FATAL MISTAKE -- | |||||
|
Most preachers and Christians ignore or reject Christ's most sober warnings, and it's a fatal mistake. Man's greatest folly in our age is the changing, twisting, perverting, ignoring, and rejecting of God's Word as found in the Holy Scriptures. Altering the Word of God is Satan's greatest delight, and today's so-called scholars and theologians are his surrogates, masquerading as men of God, and they are as phony as a three-dollar bill! And as the Apostle of Jesus Christ has warned all true Christians, so I warn you: "For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers," and he opened this declaration with these words: "As my beloved sons I warn you." I Corinthians 4:14-15. Jesus' warnings were even more emphatic and sobering: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Matthew 7:15. Vicious and ravening preachers are destroying Christ's flocks by "privily" bringing in "damnable heresies" and "feigned words", and speaking evil of the way of Truth which is Holiness." Cf. II Peter 2:1-3.
THE TWO UNPARDONABLE SINS
Consider seriously Christ's most sober warning, No. 1: "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of Man [Christ], it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." Matthew 12:31-32.
Now consider seriously Christ's other most sober warning, No. 2: "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:18-19. Ladies and gentlemen, are these warnings written in plain English that give the true sense and the meaning that even an imbecile can comprehend? Anyone except a religious idiot will say YES!
A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEATH
| |||||
|
To disregard or disrespect these warnings from the Holy Ghost is fatal -- there is no pardon -- the unpardonable sin is committed. What is the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost Jesus warned of that's unpardonable? "Blasphemy" means "to be profane; to speak of or address with irreverence; irreverence toward something considered sacred or inviolable." Jesus' warning was much more inclusive, my beloved, thusly: "But whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." Matthew 12:32. Arrogant, big-mouth preachers and professing Christians are going to be lost in hell's fire because of their big, boastful mouths! Many tens of thousands of Fundamentalists profane the Holy Ghost as they acidly deny the works and Holiness of the Holy Ghost. These deny that "speaking in tongues" is the operation of the Holy Ghost as they do spiritual gifts. My friend, you may not understand the operation of the Holy Ghost, but you'd be wise to keep your mouth shut until you do. I know there are phony claims by many of being Baptized in the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues, and possessing spiritual gifts -- you can't help it if phonies are stumblingblocks, but you can keep from blaspheming the Holy Ghost by your denial or criticism, which is fatal to you. And they, hypocritical pretenders, will keep on pretending. When I received the Holy Ghost Baptism in November, 1943, I spoke in unknown tongues -- and I'm not of the devil, nor are the unknown tongues I speak in of the devil as many bold, brazen, blind preachers cry out. If anyone is of the devil it is these hypocrites who blaspheme the Holy Ghost.
CAN YOUR NAME BE TAKEN OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE?
Don't believe a blind preacher who probably is not truly saved, much less a man of God, if he says to this probing question: No. God's Word warns and reveals otherwise. Remember, Jesus warned: "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life." Revelation 22:19. It is also called the "Lamb's book of life" in Revelation 21:27. There is only one Book of Life.
"Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." Proverbs 30:6. Through the Holy Scriptures of the New and Old Testaments God ever warns, as in Moses' day, as he pleaded for his church that had grievously sinned against God: "Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin --; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book [Book of Life]. Exodus 32:32-33.
GOD HIMSELF WROTE TWO DOCUMENTS
God Almighty wrote only two documents that are recorded: "The book of life written from the foundation of the world," Revelation 17:8, and the Ten Commandments, "Two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God." Exodus 31:18. Jesus has said to His church, "He that overcometh [sin, flesh, devil], the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels." Revelation 3:5. Why the warning if there was not the danger of being full of sin and disobedience, and subsequently having your name erased out of the book of life? The little word IF is a primary conjunction used very frequently in our Holy Bible to introduce a conditional act or promise of God that most theologians, preachers, and professing Christians never observe, consider, nor respect -- and it can prove to be fatal. That little word IF means "on the assumption that, or on condition that." Salvation is just as conditional as the scriptures warn over and over, again and
|
again.
FOR EXAMPLE
"Well; because of unbelief they [the Jews] were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear [God]: for IF God spared not the natural branches [in the good olive tree, symbolically], take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell [from God's grace], severity; but toward thee, goodness, IF [conditional] thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off [your name taken out of the Book of Life]. And they also, IF [conditional] they [the Jews] abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again." Romans 11:20-23. I could write two long books on the little word IF and warn God's true elect about the conditions of salvation.
TRUTH THROUGH PARABLES, METAPHORS, & SYMBOLISM
Jesus used the analogy of a vine and its branches and fruit to warn His real disciples of the conditions of salvation and the danger of being cut off after being "in Him", the true vine. " I am the vine, ye are the branches ... If a man abide not in me [conditional by obedience], he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them [the branches which are men in this analogy], and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." John 15:5-6. Please notice Jesus' profound statement., "I am the true vine, and my Father [God] is the husbandman." Verse 1. Jesus makes it very clear that He himself does not cut men off that abide not in Him; it's the Father who cuts off dead branches, that is, Christians who do not bear the real fruit of the Spirit. Then continuing, "IF ye keep my commandments [conditional], ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love." Verse 10. You cannot ABIDE IN CHRIST with SIN in your life. To wit: "Whosoever abideth in Him [Christ] sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him." I John 3:6. Now, may I ask, do you believe the warnings God has put in the Holy Scriptures that Salvation is conditional, premised upon your and my obedience to these hundreds of warnings, or will you believe some scissor-tail-coated deceiving preacher or teacher who "speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption?" Cf. II Peter 2:12. Also: "many shall follow their pernicious [i.e., irreparably harmful] ways." II Peter 2:2.
Beloved, you can fall from grace, have your name blotted out of the Book of Life, and be lost. Please don't let it happen to you.
ABOUT THE HOLY GHOST
"In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 7:37-39.
Here, Jesus vividly revealed the difference between the Holy Spirit and the Holy Ghost. The Spirit of God has always been in the world, but not the HOLY GHOST, a vastly different manifestation of the
|
Holy Spirit. He, the Holy Ghost, was sent into the world to choose a BRIDE for Jesus Christ, and to Baptize each member of Christ's Bride with the Holy Ghost. And out of the innermost being of members of Christ's Bride, flow rivers of living water from the Holy Ghost's abiding presence. Jesus also promised, I will send you another comforter, the Holy Ghost, and when He is come, He will guide you into All TRUTH. John 16:7, 13. And my beloved, I've been baptized in the Holy Ghost for 58 years, and that Truth He has taught me, I'm sharing with you so you'll not be deceived and lost.
NOT A MATTER OF UNDERSTANDING, BUT OF BELIEVING
The following warning from the Lord applies to those who have experienced the Holy Ghost Baptism: "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost [not Holy Spirit], And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, IF they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." Hebrews 6:4-6. Here again, be sure you don't let some scripture-twisting preacher or teacher tell you it doesn't mean what it says. It says exactly the warning meant by the Holy Ghost -- so let God's word be true and that scripture-twister a liar. Cf. Romans 3:3-4; II Peter 3:16.
BLASPHEMING THE HOLY GHOST -- PROFANING GOD'S WORD
We cannot ignore or reject these warnings and be in God's Grace. Time is of the essence. The Antichrist is right at hand. He will "cast down the Truth to the ground." Daniel 8:12. The world and many professing Christians will reject the TRUTH, believe the False Prophet's and Antichrist's lies, and be damned for eternity. Cf. II Thessalonians 2:11-12.
The prophecy of Christ's Apostle Paul declares: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness ... Who changed the TRUTH OF GOD into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature [the human body] more than the Creator." Romans 1:18, 25. Disrespect for the Holy Bible and profaning (speaking against the Holy Ghost and His works) have made Christ's church lukewarm and spewed out of His mouth. Cf. Revelation 3:16.
God's church of old had the very same spiritual profile as today's rebellious church of our Lord. God's prophet cried out, "To whom shall I speak, and give WARNING, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it ... Behold, I will bring evil upon this people ... because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but REJECTED IT ... Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the Lord hath REJECTED THEM." Jeremiah 6:10, 19, 30.
As this great "weeping prophet" Jeremiah was used by the Lord in his day to the church of old, so am I used by the Lord in the church and among Christ's disciples in our day, thusly: God has spoken, "I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way." Cf. Jeremiah 6:27. Remember, there are some 65 Perversions of the Holy Bible, but only one TRUE WORD OF GOD -- the Authorized or King James Version that any individual can use to try his own way or another's. Those some 65 Perverted bibles will continue to lead men astray and into the destructive judg

A River Becomes Crooked
Did you ever see a river that was as straight as an arrow? Probably not. Rivers generally wind back and forth, from the time they gush out of a mountain spring or seep out of a lake until they find repose in the bosom of the great deep. And why is it that a river is never straight? Let an epigram answer and at the same time drive home a wholesome truth: "A river becomes crooked by following the line of least resistance. So does a man!" -- The Log of the Good Ship Grace

UNTHANKFUL The next time you go out to eat, please notice the other diners around about your table -- you probably won't see any of them bowing their heads, giving thanks to God before they surfeit! Unthankful! Only fools can believe that God will not severely judge the arrogant society and haughty church of this Fool's Paradise in which we live.

NO SENSE IN PRETENSE
You tell what you are by the friends you seek, By the manner in which you speak. By the way you employ your leisure time, By the use you make of dollar and dime. You tell what you are by the things you wear, By the spirit in which you burdens bear, By the kind of thing at which you laugh, By records you play on the phonograph. You tell what you are by the way you walk, By the things of which you delight to talk, By the manner in which you bear defeat, By so simple a thing as how you eat. By the books you choose from the well-filled shelf; In these ways and more, you tell on yourself. So there's really no particle of sense In any effort at pretense.

YOU DIDN'T GET IT HERE! A young man who was a fresh convert to Jesus Christ just couldn't wait until the next service at the church where he found the Lord. So he decided to attend another nearby church service thinking all churches must feel like he did about being saved from sin -- that is, filled with overflowing joy. He quietly slipped into a well-lit and well-attended church to enjoy the service, carefully avoiding any distraction by sitting on the back pew. He joined in the congregational singing but little because the songs were unfamiliar -- but, when the preacher preached, he began to bubble over as the Word of God came forth. No longer being able to contain the joy that flooded his righteous soul, he shouted out, "Hallelujah!" Instantly, an usher stationed at the front door came and tapped him on the shoulder and reprimanded him, saying, "Buddy, you behave yourself -- you're in church!" Well, the new convert quieted down but briefly, for in a few moments the preacher quoted a pulsating scripture from God's Word and that same new-found joy bubbled over again in his soul. This time he shouted out, "Well, Praise the Lord!" The same stern usher was back quickly, tapping him on his shoulder with a greater display of hostility, and said roughly: "Buddy, I told you to be quiet. What's wrong with you anyway?" The young new Christian, putting his mouth near the rude usher's ear, replied: "Sir, I've got old time religion!" To this the usher retorted, "You may have, but you didn't get it here!"
